Northside Presbyterian Church supports many missionaries, both domestically and abroad, financially and through prayer.  Each year the church hosts a Missions Conference at which time the missionaries are invited to fellowship with the congregation and bring updates on their ministries. Each Sunday one of these ministries is especially held up in prayer during the morning worship service.

Dan and Rebecca are involved in teaching people how to live with Christ at the center of their lives, especially focusing on young people, the Roma population and marriage relationships. They seek to live missional lives, being a bridge to bring Slovaks into the community of believers to hear the gospel and see it in practice. Their work in preparing pre-school Roma children for school has made a big difference in that community.

Jeff and Caroline and their children are the campus ministry family serving with Reformed University Fellowship-International at the University of Georgia since 2001. RUF-I is the body of Christ welcoming students from around the world. They partner with local PCA churches to bring the gospel to these international students, many of whom have never heard it.

The Thompsons seek to provide ministries that fulfill these three goals:

  • Welcome scholars from all nations.
  • Encourage international students to explore the way of Jesus Christ.
  • Equip Christian internationals to be servant-leaders for God’s kingdom.

This family has spent 13 years serving the Lord in the Atlanta area, proclaiming the good news of Christ to refugees living there. Working with Mission to the World, they had a mercy ministry among immigrants from the Middle East. Their work was intentionally focused on the large number of Muslim political refugees that have been sent to Atlanta– one of a few refugee cities in the United States–due to their past experience as missionaries in the Middle East. Their new assignment will be taking them back to the Middle East in the near future.

Noah and Karleigh are living in Thailand, learning the Thai language and are involved in the outreach ministry of the Grace City Church there.  Their focus is on preaching and helping with worship and the children’s ministry.

Luke and Leanne serve in the Gamboula Hospital and Nutrition Center in Central African Republic. Leanne is the director of the affiliated nursing school which trains students to become certified nurses. The nutrition center treats children from the area who suffer from malnutrition. Luke uses his mechanical abilities where maintenance is needed and is involved in the agricultural and water needs of the area.

Ethiopia ACT (Active Compassionate Transformation)

This ministry includes producing Christian videos which reach out to people in Muslim areas. What began primarily  as a satellite TV outreach has now moved to a focus on using social media. The ability to interact online about Jesus with more people and give follow-up support to those who are growing in Christ gives a wider, more focused outreach. Some people are coming to faith for the first time while others are beginning to grow deeper in their faith. As a result of these ongoing conversations, they have developed two discipleship groups, one for new believers and the other one for seekers.

Tim is a facilitator and trainer for the development of oral Bible stories in the local languages of Africa. This ministry produces oral recordings of the gospel story in local African languages, so that they can come to know God and become disciples of Christ. Many of these dialects do not have a written language, which means that the stories must be taught locally so that they can be repeated and shared among the people.

The Moores are working alongside the Neuenburg International Church focusing on church planting and evangelism to establish lasting biblical local churches that will evangelize, serve and bear fruit in their communities and raise up the future leaders of the German church.
